It has a red cloth binding, gold-embossed encircled picture of Alice on the cover, light blue papers in front and back, the 42 illustrations by John Tenniel, the stamp or printing of C.L. Dodgson's signature, and the Robert Clayson attribution at the beginning and at the end. There is no date. Can anyone tell me or guess which printing/edition I have? I, too, have a copy of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and would like to find out how to pinpoint the edition as I cannot find a date, although I am fairly certain it is an early edition. It has the illustrations by Tenniel and was published by R. Clay, Son, and Taylor in London. No gilt edges, I'm afraid. Any thoughts would certainly be appreciated.

-Scott B.Scott Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08958535938617071616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2045845679444796608.post-73992698181693014952009-04-02T20:22:00.000+00:002009-04-02T20:22:00.000+00:00Burt is a reprint house--sorry book is of very mod...Burt is a reprint house--sorry book is of very modest value.mugwort the frognoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2045845679444796608.post-37745399246471821232009-04-02T18:58:00.000+00:002009-04-02T18:58:00.000+00:00I believe I own an copy of the original 1865 'Alic...I believe I own an copy of the original 1865 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
..........By Lewis Carroll
Author of
"Through the Looking- Glass and What Alice Found There"
With forty-two illustrations by John Tenniel.
Published by A.L.
